Why security companies are moving to PTToC

Guarding contracts are won on proof. Cellular push-to-talk plus checkpoint scanning turns supervision into evidence clients can see.

Security is the vertical where the shift has moved fastest, and the reason has very little to do with audio quality.

Contracts are won on evidence

Clients increasingly ask a simple question during procurement: prove the guard was there. Radio cannot answer it. NFC or QR checkpoint scanning, timestamped and geotagged, answers it definitively — and a client-facing portal turns that answer into a differentiator during the bid.

Lone workers create real liability

A guard patrolling a site at 3am is a lone worker. If they fall and the alert goes to a radio nobody is monitoring, the exposure is severe. Automated man-down detection with escalation up the chain of command until someone acknowledges is the control that reduces that exposure.

Sites are distributed, radio footprints are not

A guarding firm with fifteen sites across a region cannot economically build radio coverage for all of them. One cellular talkgroup structure covers every site, plus mobile patrols in between.

Margins live in the admin

  • Digital attendance replaces paper sign-in sheets and phone-in check calls.
  • Incident reports with photos are filed from the device, not typed up later.
  • Tour compliance reporting generates itself instead of consuming supervisor hours.

Modernising a radio fleet?

We will map your existing sites, devices and repeaters to a staged Pushytap deployment — usually keeping the hardware you already own.
